Today I am going to review a product I received for free to try through PinchME. This review is 100% my own and honest opinion on this product. I do not make a profit from any purchases you make from any of the links I include in this post, I just include them for your convenience to find out more about these incredible products. The product I received this time was Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews™. Please continue reading to find out what I thought about them.!
So I received my PinchMe box this week as I had hoped.! I have some great products to review, starting with today's, that came from this box and I am so excited about it.!
One of the great things about these treat-chews is that they come in 3 sizes, Mini, Small/Medium, and Large, based off your dog's weight. So that way they're not biting off more than they can chew, lol.!
If fed daily, these great treats can be as effective as brushing your furbabies teeth twice a week. They are designed with a twist to the bone to encourage your dog to use their whole mouth to chew.! It also has nubs and ridges to help it clean similar to a tooth brush to reduce tartar build-up.
- As mentioned above, they come in various sizes to best suit your furbaby.!
- They have 12 essential vitamins and minerals, including calcium to help with strong bones and teeth.!
- Because of their treat like smell and appearance, they're easy to get your pup to want one once a day to help with better tartar control.
Sooo, when I first signed up for these I was so excited. I've used similar dental care treats for Wendy before, and I really liked those, but I'm always open to trying new things for her to see if they yield any better results. My first impression of these before opening the package was "Wow, these are really big for a mini sized treat.!" so I broke one in half (which was SO hard to do by the way, these treats were like rock solid.! More on that in a second..) and gave her it. It smelt good, similar to bacon and cheese to me, which I guess would be great for getting the pups to think it was more treat than dental care.! But, again, these things are SO hard. I was terrified she'd break a tooth on it.!! The previous brand I've used was softer so she could chew on it and safely eat it like a normal treat, but these are like those rawhide bones hard.! I was watching her very carefully the entire time she was chewing on it. She had it for about 30 minutes with little progress on it before I took it away, because she was starting to get it stuck in her mouth and I was afraid she'd choke on it (this was due to me breaking it in half, but I'm glad I didn't waste the full sized treat.) I tossed the leftover of it to our husky - who also had difficulties with the hardness of it.! And he has literally eaten pork rib bones.!! (Not because we fed him them.. little butthead got into the trash can while we were at the store.!) I'm expecting to receive one for his size as well soon, so I'll have to see how he does with that one, but so far, I'm not impressed at all.! I will definitely be returning to my old treats.
So, With that said, it's time for a rating on these Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews™.. I would give them
❤❤ 2 out of 5 beating hearts ❤ ❤.!
If they weren't so hard, I'd probably like them a lot more. But I'm not down with having to watch my pup like a hawk for hours while she chews on this.! If it took her 30 minutes with little progress to chew half of the bone, I can only imagine how long she'd take to fully eat a full sized one. Obviously every dog could have a different experience with this, but that's just how I feel.
