Jersey Shore Cosmetics Peppermint Moisture Rich Hydrating Balm

Rated: 5/5.!

In my Ipsy bag this month, I received this Jersey Shore Cosmetics Peppermint Moisture Rich Hydrating Balm (boy that's a mouth full..) I was SUPER unsure of it at first, because I usually hate peppermint products, flavors, scents, etc. It's just not my thing. But... Go figure, I LOVE THIS STUFF.! It's so great.! It goes on so smooth and makes my lips soooo soft. It does definitely smell like Peppermint, but the scent doesn't linger around too terribly long once applied, and I've yet to pick up on any real flavor from it. I mean, this is my new go-to chapstick for sure. My lips haven't been this soft in years, and I can't stop applying it because I love the scent.! Seriously y'all, go freaking figure, haha.!

Blistex Bliss Flip

Rated: 3/5.!

I received this Blistex Bliss Flip lip balm in my July Pinch Me box, and honestly, I'm very torn here.. I LOVE the lip balm formula itself. It is VERY hydrating, it smells nice (though a little strong), but it generally leaves my lips very soft, to the point my fiance said something. But, I'm not a fan of the egg/ball shape for application, and the general shape would be inconvenient for anyone trying to carry it in a pocket. I have mine in my bag or on my makeup table, but obviously not everyone carries a bag everywhere, and this isn't very easy to just stick in your pocket and go. I'm big on functionality and convenience with everything, I need things to work with whatever I decide to do that day. So if I'm headed to an amusement park and don't plan to take a bag.? This couldn't be my on-hand lip balm, which is unfortunate, as I really enjoyed the actual balm part of this product. The price is also quite high (I spotted this in Walmart a few days ago and it was around the $3-4 range, if I remember correctly.) I don't like to spend more than a buck or two on my chapsticks, and even though I've tried EOS balms, I've only purchased it ONCE due to price and these design flaws. Not to mention, EOS balms have a reputation of growing mold, I'm not sure if it's the enclosure that's the issue there or not, so that's another thing I'll be checking for with this Bliss Flip. Over all, I'll use this until I've finished it as I do like the balm itself, but I wouldn't purchase the Bliss Flip. I'll stick to buying my normal tubes of Blistex.

I received the reviewed product for free, in exchange for my complete honest opinion. I do not receive any profit from any links I include in this post, and all photos included are mine unless stated otherwise. Thanks.! :)
